What the Retainer Covers
The retainer ensures that we have funds available to cover the setup of your property, if it’s not already being used as a rental. This retainer covers the costs of the county or city inspection, the related registration fee, the lead inspection, your annual MDE registration, your setup fee, and any minor repairs needed to pass the inspections.
Retainer Adjustments
If there is any unused money, it will be credited back to you in month number two. Also, if there’s money owed to Peace of Mind, we will deduct that from your rental payment in month number two. This gives our property owners assurance that their property is in compliance with state and local laws, and that they’re not overpaying for inspections or repairs.
