In 2014, Melissa founded Peace of Mind Property Management to help property owners become successful landlords. As a REALTOR® and property owner herself, Melissa knows what good property management entails. She has owned and managed her own properties since 2009. When Melissa is not busy with property management, she still finds time to invest in rental properties herself. Chris joined the Peace of Mind Property Management team in August of 2020 as our leasing agent. As a licensed REALTOR®, Chris is able to market our clients’ listings on the Multiple List Service through Corner House Realty. Our clients love Chris’ professional demeanor and his ability to expertly market their vacant listings. Chris takes a proactive approach to tenant turnovers by meeting with current tenants to discuss the process of marketing and by showing the property before they even move out. Director of Operations
Balinda oversees our entire team and is the main point of contact for our landlords. She ensures that our properties are in compliance with the Maryland Department of Environment, and that the necessary rental licenses are procured. She also handles tenant collections. As a problem solver and a hard worker, Balinda gets straight to the point and makes sure things get done.
Glenn is an organized and passionate member of our team. He has professional experience with processing rental applications and screening tenants. Glenn leverages his real estate marketing skills, his fair housing training, and his Bachelor of Arts in communication to help us provide exceptional customer service.
Joe is an ambitious, personable member of our team. He has professional experience working with more than 20 property managers, and he has a great understanding of the real estate industry. Joe helps us coordinate maintenance needs and repairs for our properties, so we can keep tenants and landlords happy, and properties in compliance.
Since 2021, Gary has worked with Peace of Mind as an attorney on retainer. Peace of Mind is always striving to add value to our customers, so his professional services are available for free to any of our landlords who need legal advice for properties that we currently manage. When it comes to representing landlords, Gary brings both business and legal experience to the table. He also has his own rental properties and is personally familiar with the most efficient and effective ways to find solutions as allowable under the law. As an experienced general practitioner and litigator, Gary has successfully tried numerous cases in the District and Circuit Courts across Maryland. If litigation is necessary, he will work with you to help protect your rental property asset and achieve the best outcome possible.
Our property managers are the Peace of Mind employees who visit our properties on a regular basis to ensure that routine maintenance is being done and that tenants are in compliance with their lease. Whenever work is needed, one of our professional property managers will work to gather the needed estimates and approval to ensure the work is done quickly, professionally, and for the best price.
The maintenance team at Peace of Mind works closely with our property managers to ensure that needed repairs or maintenance are handled in a timely manner. Our maintenance team also assists with move-out walkthroughs and turnover repairs. When things go wrong in the middle of the night, our tenants see the friendly face of one of our maintenance techs who will help them through whatever emergency has come up.
