When other REALTORS® refer business to Peace of Mind Property Management, their client relationship is respected. We always refer the landlord back to their REALTOR® when it’s time to place a new tenant, or if they mention wanting to sell. We would never interfere with that relationship because we want continued referrals and it’s the right thing to do.

Once a tenant is placed, Peace of Mind Property Management will handle monthly rent collection. Tenants are set up to pay monthly rent via our electronic payment system. Electronic payments help ensure timely payments. Landlord payments are also sent out electronically to make sure you get your money as quickly as possible! You monthly management fee and any expenses due to the property management company are deducted from your rent payment each month with an emailed invoice for your records.
It’s our job to keep up with current regulations and be sure that your property has the proper inspections and registrations needed to be a legal rental property. We have a great working relationship with local contractors to make sure that all necessary inspections or repairs are completed before your home is rented out.
Once your home is ready to rent, Peace of Mind Property Management will assist you in finding the right tenant for your property. We will obtain a background report, credit report and a detailed application for each applicant. We will present this information to you and assist you in making the appropriate decision. The cost for tenant placement is typically the first month’s rent.
We take the 2 a.m. phone calls, not you! Peace of Mind Property Management will quickly handle the coordination of any repair or maintenance needs.
You are responsible for the cost of any repairs above the tenant’s repair deductible but we will assist you in purchasing a home warranty to prevent unexpected costs. In the event a repair is not covered by a warranty or if you choose not to purchase a home warranty, you will benefit from our relationship with reputable contractors who extend discounted pricing to our clients.
While we always try hard to get the right tenant in place, sometimes things go wrong. In the event an eviction is required, Peace of Mind Property Management will handle any court paperwork and court appearances on your behalf at an hourly rate of $50/hour.

As a REALTOR® and property owner herself, owning and managing her own properties since 2005, Melissa knows what good property management entails. Seeing a need in the market, in 2014, Peace of Mind Property Management was born. In the property management world, companies come and go. Often, tenants leave due to lack of care or maintenance, or the landlords themselves become dissatisfied and fire the property managers. Property management is a difficult service to provide, however Peace of Mind Property Management has found the formula for success.
Who We Are
Offering landlords peace of mind is exactly what sets Peace of Mind Property Management aside from the others. While many people shy away from becoming landlords, because they don’t want to deal with the hassles, owner and visionary of Peace of Mind Property Management, Melissa Snyder-Hargreaves wants owners to feel comfortable investing and growing their personal wealth and allowing her and Property Manager Angela Little to focus on the hassles instead.
Melissa began her career in real estate when she obtained her first investment property in 2009. Overtime, her love for real estate grew deeper and she turned her passion into her full time career in 2014. Melissa’s quickly took off and she became the Howard Country Association of Realtor’s Rokkie Agent of the Year in 2015. This prompted Melissa to putsue a new beginning at a Howard County Brokerage. She joined Keller Williams Integrity in 2015 and helped launch the Hargreaves Home Sales Team of Keller Williams Integrity in 2016.
Understanding the importance of homeownership, Melissa routinely conducts Homebuying Seminars to educate potential buyers on the benefits of home ownership. Her goal is to take the fear out of buying and help people achieve the American Dream of ownership. If you are looking to buy, Melissa can help you navigate the process of obtaining grant money to buy your first home, or help you find that luxury house you are ready to move up to. With a love for marketing, Melissa is also a very effective listing agent.
